Mighty Ones: a Circle of Art to focus and contain the powers we shall raise
herein! The Circle is cast! So Mote It Be!”
ALL
”SO MOTE IT BE!”

wisdom and understanding to our Circle!”
PRIEST
“O God, we do invoke You in Your form as King! Lord of the Wheel of Karma!
You turn the Wheel of the Goddess upon which the threads of Fate are spun, that
actions return upon themselves and Divine balance is maintained.
Lord of the Harvest You sacrifice Yourself that life may endure through
Winter -illustrating the Karmic interdependence of life upon life.
Join us O God, we pray, in this sacred festival! We bid You Hail and
Welcome!”
ALL
“Hail and Welcome!”
PRIESTESS
“O Goddess we do invoke You in Your form of Harvest Mother.
All-bountiful and Provident One -You sustain Your children through the
Winter with the food of the earth, Your body.
It is You Who decree the fall of the crops.
You Who decree the death of the God.
You weave the threads of Karma from which the web of life is fashioned.
All things depend upon all others -and all proceed from You.
Join us we pray, O Goddess, in this our holy rite! We bid You Hail and
Welcome!”
ALL
“Hail and Welcome!”
Ancestors
“O Mighty Ancestors, Beloved Ones Who have gone before, We invoke You and
ask You to join us and to Bless us! Ancestors of the Correllian Tradition,
Priestesses and Priests, Mothers and Uncles of the lineage, Spiritual family
which aids and supports us –lend us Your inspiration and Your love, Your
guidance and Your aid this night, we pray.
Beloved Ones, we bid You Hail and Welcome!”
ALL
“Hail and Welcome!”
"Mabon is the feast of the Fall Equinox. Now are night and day again equal, and perfect balance
reigns. The God is waning: days
grow shorter, the crops are falling as the harvests progress.
But even as His power wanes He comes into His own, as King and Counselor.
Karma, the Divine Plan, and justice are emphasized.
We will eat through the Winter because the crops have died for us -all
things are connected and affect each other.
The death of one is life to another: all is in balance and all things are
as they should be. Let us then
focus upon balance, and seek that balance in our lives."
Prayer Ties
Ask everyone
to think of an action they regret: a person they have done wrong to or a
situation in which they acted badly. We
all have things which we regret -times when said or done things we shouldn't
have, not said or done things which we should have.
It is part of being human. These
things form blockages: Karmic attachments.
Have each person think of one such situation: we are going to pray for
healing for that situation.
Pass out the ribbons
Now ask everyone to think about the situation they wish to do healing for, and
what it is they regret doing or not doing -examine the emotions.
Who was hurt by this? What part was your responsibility? What needs to be
healed? Imagine it clearly and have it strongly in your mind.
Ask everyone to hold their ribbon in their hand. Have them imagine the ribbon filled with energy –radiating
white light. Instruct them to
concentrate strongly upon the situation to be healed.
Imagine the situation strongly, and focus sending healing energy to it.
Imagine the situation and everyone in it while you charge the ribbon for
their healing.
Now offer a prayer –something like this:
"Divine Mother Goddess, Divine Father God, help us we pray to heal these
things which we think of now! Lend Your strength to ours, that these things may
be healed. Take the healing energy
we offer and send it to where it is most needed in these situations -with harm
towards none and in accordance with the free will of all.
As we tie our prayers into the branches of this holy and venerable tree,
we pray that our prayers shall be carried upon the wind –swift as thoughts and
certain as rivers. May they be carried forward into manifestation as surely as
the wind blows. As the flower gives
rise to the fruit, and the fruit gives rise to the seed, so may this healing
take effect. Behold –by our will
and with Your aid –So Mote it Be
Each person should take their ribbon home an place it outdoors on a tree or
plant.
“Holy Tree –you too are a perfect manifestation of the Goddess.
We pray that as our spell is released into being you will aid and guide
it with your strength –born of the Earth.
Even as the wind blows through your boughs, may this healing take effect,
carried forward by the Divine Elements. So
Mote it Be!”
Ale
The person representing Goddess should have a dark
beverage. The person representing God should have a light beverage.
The Chalice will be held between them.
The Goddess should go first.
“In the beginning was the Goddess. And
She was alone and without form in the void of chaos before the first creation.
But She longed to create –to work Her will and give form to existence.
And the Goddess dreamed: and the Goddess planned: and the Goddess longed:
and from Her longing came the first creation
“In the name of the Goddess may the Blessing Be upon this juice!”
Now let the person representing the God hold up the light beverage and say
something like:
“And from the Goddess was created the God.
The Goddess divided Herself, sending all of the fiery, active, physical
aspects of Herself into the God and retaining all of the watery, malleable,
spiritual aspects for Herself. And
the God exploded out from the Goddess in the explosion of the first creation,
sending fire and light in all directions.
“In the name of the God may the Blessing Be upon this juice!”
Then the person representing the Goddess continues:
“In time the light of the God cooled and took form, becoming Suns and
planets and asteroids. The universe
took shape and the Goddess was pleased. She
desired to be part of this universe, to rejoin with the God and be one with Him.
But He fled from Her as the mouse flees before the cat.”
Now the person representing the God:
“And She took counsel of Her Highest Self, Which told Her that ‘To Rise
You Must Fall.’ And so the Goddess created the many souls and sent them into
matter, so that through them She could unite with the God.
And so was the world we know created.”
Now let them fill the Chalice together, so that the dark juice and the light
juice are mingled.
Now pronounce a final Blessing upon the Chalice:
“In the name of the Goddess and of the God may this Chalice be Blessed,
that it may be a token of the bond of love which exists between ourselves and
Them, and between Them and all of creation!”
“So Mote It Be!”
ALL
“So Mote It Be!”
“To the Goddess! To the God! To us!”
ALL
“To the Goddess! To the God! To us!
Now pass the
Chalice deosil around the Circle.
